Employment Positions
CDL Driver responsibilities will include:
- Delivering, relocating and removing units from job sites, including storage containers,
office trailers, toilet trailers, and wide loads
- Set-ups and knockdowns of units
- Block, level and anchoring of the trailers during delivery, removal of blocking material
and anchoring during pickup
- Loading and unloading truck, including loading and unloading steps (80-100 lbs each),
pads, and piers
- Installing tie downs when ordered, including operating the jack-hammer (weighs 70-80
lbs) to drive in the auger portion of the tie down
- Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations
- Maintain all paperwork, ensuring customer signatures are collected, and daily logs are
completed and handed to the dispatcher
- Maintain constant contact with the dispatcher to receive pickup and/or delivery instructions, and keep them informed of any safety issues
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water to
ensure roadworthiness
- Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs,
fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs
Qualified candidate will possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A current valid CDL-A license and a good driving record
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills for dealing with customers, contractors, and Tri-Boro
employees
- Previous commercial driving experience hauling wide-loads preferred
- Experience with set-up and knockdown preferred
